Black Tie-Keys Style encouraged*

*Black tie keys style is open for interpretation. It might be a tuxedo with flip flops or keys casual with a smoking jacket; we encourage everyone to have fun mixing the two. (Opposites attract!)

FORMAT
Teams will play five 9-hole matches within their flight over three days. 1st and 2nd place within each flight will be determined by total accumulated points of the five matches. Ties within flights will be determined by a sudden victory playoff. Overall Men’s and Women’s Tournament Champions will be decided by an exciting Flight Winner’s Shoot-Out.

HANDICAPS
If you anticipate an issue regarding you or your guests’ handicap please contact Scott Kirkwood at 305-367-5928 prior to entering the tournament. The maximum handicap index for men is 28.0 and for ladies is 36.0. Handicap indexes are determined as of October 15, 2011. Per USGA recommendations, the handicap index difference between partners is limited to not more than 12 points. Should the handicap difference be greater than the 12 points, the higher handicap will be adjusted.

SCORING
Teams will be flighted by combined handicap indexes. The low handicap player in each match will play at scratch with the others receiving the full difference. Points will be awarded as follows:

          Win the Hole        1 point
          Lose the Hole      0 points
          Tie the Hole          ½ point

Flights with an odd number of teams shall have each team play one match againt par.
Maximum 7 points and minimum 2 points per match.

TOURNAMENT FIELD
Limited field, 10 flights of men and 5 flights of women. Tees of players are determined by individual handicap index.

Men:             H.I. of 12 or less                    Blue tees
H.I. of 12.1 and above          White tees
